Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Your email address — to confirm it is yours, save your draft, and send receipts, your editor login and service messages.
- Your description and attachments — the text, photos, videos and documents you give us to build your site.
- Payment details — handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and limited card details (such as the last four digits); we never see or store your full card number.
- Your site and editing activity — your site’s content, the changes you ask the editor to make, and how much AI editing you use.
- Developer accounts — name, company, email, a securely hashed password, prices you set and your account ledger.
- Technical data — IP addresses and request logs, used for security, rate-limiting and fixing problems.
How we use it
- To build, host and edit your website, and to provide support.
- To take payments, send receipts, and tell you about upcoming charges and your hosting term.
- To review build requests for misuse and to keep the service secure.
- To understand usage and costs so we can run and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. The builder does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run the service, each for that purpose alone:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — sending email.
- Anthropic — the AI that writes and edits your site. Your description, attachments’ text and editing requests are sent to it to produce your site.
- Amazon Web Services — hosting, storage, backups and domain registration.
If a developer (agency) ordered your site, they can see your site, your email address and your billing status in their console. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our users or the service.
Your published website
Anything you put on your website is public. Your site may record ordinary web-server logs of its visitors (such as IP address and pages viewed) for security and troubleshooting.
How long we keep it
- An unfinished draft (your description and attachments) is deleted after 5 days.
- Once your site is built, attachments become part of your site; drafts are cleared.
- Your site and account are kept while you use the service and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can restore them if you return or if there is a dispute.
- Order and payment records are kept as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal purposes.
- Backups are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
Storage on your device
The builder and consoles use your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in and to remember small preferences. They are not used to track you across other websites.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, export or delete your personal information by emailing cjones@localpro.me. Deleting your information may require taking your site down. If you live in California or another place with privacy laws that give you specific rights, we will honour those rights; we will not treat you differently for using them.
Security
We use encrypted connections, restricted administrative access, hashed passwords and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep your editor login private.
Children
The site builder is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email. The version shown here, with its date, is the current one.
